More Pictures

2003 This is the chapel in the Peter & Paul Cathedral that has the tombs of Nicholas II and his family.  They were all killed after the Bolsheviks took over, gunned down in the basement of the place they were being held.
2025 Peter the Great's Tomb.  Except for Alexander and his wife all the tombs inside the sanctuary of the cathedral are like this one, gold and white marble.  Like some, Peter's has the two-headed eagle in the corners, most do not.
2028  The Russian Military Museum is just across the way and they have this formerly top secret mobile nuclear missile launcher group parked outside.  This was their version of an nuclear sub.  They'd hide them all over the country in the forrest.
2043 Diana with courtiers in front of Saint Isaac's Cathedral.
2046 Me with the Monument to Nicholas I that stands on only 2 points, one of two in the world and the first.
2101 Catherine's Palace.  I really like this place.  You judge, Russian baroque or Rococo.
