More Pictures

1117  The Heaven mural from St. Elijah's Church.  I love how orderly it is.  Different groups each on their own cloud with God (in the gold with the beard), Jesus (In the white, clean shaven) and the Holy Spirit (the Dove) completely and serenely in charge.
1118  St. Elijah's Church on the Soviet Square in Yaroslavl.  All the other buildings facing the square were built by the Soviets and used for their purposes.
1130  This is the painting by Vereschagin that I mentioned.  The Kremlin looks odd with white walls.
1135  Reading a War Telegram by Solomatkin.  It's easy to see the influence of the Impressionists on his work.  Either that or he was naturally one of them.
1136  Even this rather crude picture of Antipov-Ilya has the ability to grab my attention.  In person it was mesmerizing.
1163  We passed this unidentified church near the village of Khimki on the banks of the Moscow Canal.  Not in very good repair but one of the prettiest I've seen.
