More Pictures

7729 In this picture, taken from the top of the main wall of the Bock Casemates you can see one of the sites that has firing positions atop the wall, inside the wall and beneath the wall.
7745 From atop the Bock Casemates, this is the aqueduct style railroad bridge.
7764 This is typical of the tunnels inside the wall.  Very wide to enable the movement of artillery and light because the platforms for firing it has large openings to provide good field of fire.
7771 Diana's standing in one of the below the wall tunnels, they're narrower and have to have tunnels off to the side to allow the soldiers to reach their firing positions.  They have it well lit down here but it's darker than it appears in the picture because I used the flash.
7780 Here I am in the lowest tunnel at a fairly wide place for the picture.  No flash so you can see that it's pretty dark.  In some places the tunnel was much narrower, shorter and darker.
7792 The inside Michael from the Michael the Archangel Church.
7800 The Ducal Palace  showing the longest wrought iron balcony from the second floor.  Because it's so narrow I assume it's to allow the Duke an unobstructed view of proceeding in the square from his home.
